As a summer volunteer, Vasuda's primary project at the Kornblith Lab is researching how blood viscosity impacts trauma outcomes. For the past two years, she has worked with the Kober Lab at UCSF to identify pathways associated with symptoms that cancer patients experience. She looks forward to applying the skills she will learn in the hospital while helping enroll patients for clinical trials and shadowing trauma physicians as she continues her medical journey in the Penn State - Jefferson BS/MD program.
