Biography
Alex joined the lab after finishing his Ph.D. in molecular, cellular and developmental Biology at UC Santa Barbara, where he studied the role of MLL/Set family histone methyltransferase components in mammalian cell cytokinesis. Prior to that he studied the establishment of polarity during cell division of the bacterium Sinorhizobium meliloti. In the Kornblith Lab, Alex manages day to day operations and leverages his broad cell biology background to shed new light on hemostasis and platelet physiology following traumatic injury.
